"Zills made Simple"

Za-Beth is the winner of Zaghareet Magazine's "Lifetime Achievement Award" and on the cover story of Zaghareet Magazine May, 2006 issue.  She began her journey traveling on her Magic Carpet ride in the world of bellydance in Boston in the '60's - meeting and sharing with dancers and musicians alike from all over the world.  She has strong technique and stage presence and is very proud to have been part of George Abdo's "The Magic of Bellydance" Album on background vocals and sitting in over-dubbing voice and zills.  She plays zills at every opportunity that comes her way, from sitting in with jazz musicians from Berklee College of Music, at the Top of the Hub to Gypsy Musicians and Rock bands in and around Boston.  Or is it having played lead snare drum in a drum and bugle corp growing up in Boston that gives her immense depth and understanding of finger cymbal playing - who knows??

Za-Beth enjoys sharing the art, joy and magic of zill playing and seeing a renewed interest in this dying art form.

Zills are an instrument.  They can be use to add drama and attitude to your performance.
